Air conditioning on Gran Canaria

Air conditioning installation and replacement in apartments, bungalows and villas – planned alongside the electrics, condensate drainage and other work.

System installation and replacement

We install new air conditioning and replace older systems. The work includes the indoor unit, outdoor unit, pipework, condensate drainage and electrics, so the installation is completed as one coordinated job.

Positioning is planned around the room's size and use, where the outdoor unit can be placed on the façade or terrace, and what the comunidad permits. Many complexes have façade rules that must be followed.

  • Installation of new units
  • Replacement of older systems
  • Pipework and condensate drainage
  • Electrical supply to the unit
  • Positioning of indoor and outdoor units
  • Removal of old equipment

Split and inverter systems

The most common solutions in homes on the island are split systems, where an outdoor unit is connected to one or more indoor units. A split system with inverter technology continuously adjusts its output rather than switching on and off, providing a more consistent temperature and lower energy consumption.

The right system depends on the number and size of the rooms and how the property is used. We review the options before planning the installation.

  • Split systems with one indoor unit
  • Multi-split systems for several rooms
  • Inverter technology
  • Energy-efficient solutions
  • Tailored to the room and its use

Cooling and heating

Many systems can both cool and heat. This is useful on the island in winter, when evenings and nights can be cool in homes without heating. Whether the system can provide heating depends on the model chosen, and we clarify this before installation.

Air conditioning as part of a renovation

If the work is part of a complete renovation, pipes, condensate drains and wiring can be installed before walls and ceilings are closed up. This keeps the service runs out of sight, and ducts can be concealed in suspended plasterboard ceilings.

We coordinate the AC installation with the other work so that the electrics, ceilings and finishes are completed in the correct order.

How an installation works

01

Site visit

We assess the property, the rooms and where the indoor and outdoor units can be positioned.

02

Choosing a system

We review the options, capacity and what the comunidad permits.

03

Installation

Pipes, condensate drainage, the electrical supply and units are installed and tested.

04

Operating guidance

We explain operation and maintenance once the system is running.

Frequently asked questions

Can air conditioning be installed in an apartment in a comunidad?
Often, yes, but the position of the outdoor unit may be regulated. We review the rules before planning the installation.
Can you replace an old system?
Yes. We remove the old system, check the existing pipes and electrics, and install a new system suited to the property.
Can the system also provide heating?
Many systems can both cool and heat. We clarify the capabilities of the chosen system before installation.
